For over a quarter of a century, the Coral Springs Center for the Arts has proudly hosted the International Ballet Company’s beloved holiday tradition — The Nutcracker. Now entering our 26th year, this timeless ballet continues to inspire wonder and excitement for audiences of every generation.
Rooted in the original Marius Petipa production, our full-length performance brings the magic of Christmas to life with breathtaking stage effects, dazzling costumes, and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score.
The story follows Marie, a young girl who receives a Nutcracker from her mysterious godfather, Dr. Drosselmeyer. After a joyous Christmas Eve celebration — and a startling battle with the Giant Rat King — her Nutcracker transforms into a handsome Prince. Together, they journey through a sparkling winter wonderland to the Kingdom of Sweets, where Marie’s dream becomes reality as she is transformed into the delicate and powerful Sugar Plum Fairy.
