Summer 2024

We're back for another show stopping summer at Next Stop Broadway! Campers are split into age appropriate groups enjoying fun classes and activities designed just for them in singing, dancing, acting, and more. Each session culminates in a fully designed production, in which EVERY camper participates and performs.

Registration Info:

Payment Agreement

All tuitions are paid directly to the Box Office. Tuition MUST be paid in full prior to the start of each session by the deadlines listed. A $99 nonrefundable deposit is due for each session attending. Tuition pricing includes 2 complimentary tickets to the session's show and required city service fees.

All families must have an active credit card on file with the Box Office. Tuition balances can be paid online, in person, or over the phone through the Box Office at (954) 344-5990. $99 of your payment (per session) is NONREFUNDABLE and will not be returned for any reason. Session exchanges are subject to $25 fee per exchange. There will be NO refunds offered for any reason after the start of a session. Discounts are applied to full price registrations only. Additional restrictions may apply.

At the start & conclusion of each session, the Box Office will attempt to charge your card on file for any outstanding balances, including Extended Care. If the card provided on file is expired or declined for any reason, the Box Office will attempt to charge any previous card on file. If payment cannot be successfully collected you will have 48 hrs from being contacted to make payment before a $15 fee will be charged. If your card expires, is lost or stolen please contact the Box Office immediately to avoid additional charges.

Youth Camp (Grades 1-8)

Campers are separated into age-appropriate groups participating in fun & exciting curriculum designed and facilitated by their group's instructors. They travel throughout the facility to attend classes learning their group scenes, songs, and dances for the session's musical.

At the beginning of each session, campers audition for the musical's lead and supporting character roles. EVERY students participates and performs in the production with their assigned group.

Campers also participate in additional performing arts based activities like Spirit Rallies, Dress Up Days, Talent Shows, etc. The camper's day is jam packed and extremely active while learning and participating in every class.

Session 1 • Aladdin • June 11–June 28

Disney’s Aladdin is based on the 1992 Academy Award-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.  

Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, he embarks on an adventure that will test his will and moral character. With tons of characters, new songs, and more thrills, this musical will open up “a whole new world” for your young performers!

Session 2 • Finding Nemo • July 1–July 19

Disney’s Finding Nemo features new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. 

Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

Session 3 • Annie • July 22–August 9

Summer2022_Show3.pngLeapin' Lizards! The irrepressible comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world's best-loved musicals - Annie! 

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. After spending her childhood in an orphanage run by the unpleasant, child-hating Miss Hannigan, Annie is taken in by billionaire “Daddy Warbucks.” Warbucks begins a search for Annie's birth parents and publicly offers them a reward for coming forward and claiming their child. Featuring some of the most popular songs in musical theater like, "Tomorrow," "It's The Hard Knock Life," "Maybe" and so many more!

Groups

Youth Camp groups are arranged by camper's age/birth date. Shortly before the start of each session, families will be sent an e-mail stating their camper's group placement, color, and instructors. We ask that campers dress in their group color on the first day of each session!

Arrival & Dismissal Times

Please Note: To ensure the safety of campers and staff, each color group has their own allotted arrival and dismissal time. Siblings attending camp in differing groups are welcome to arrive and dismiss at the same time.

Color Groups: Red, Orange, Yellow

  • Arrival Time: 8:45am
  • Dismissal Time: 3:45pm

Color Groups: Green & Blue

  • Arrival Time: 9:00am
  • Dismissal Time: 4:00pm

Lunch Program

The Center's lunch program offers high-quality, safely prepared food including distribution service at reasonable prices. The lunch program is always an option for families as an alternative to bringing their lunch from home. 

Each group rotates daily to either the lunch area outside in the tented/air-circulated courtyard or the theater lobby where they sit comfortably at large tables. Each lunch period is approx 25 minutes long, allowing enough time to eat and clean up. 

**Lunch purchases must be made by 9:30am for same day orders**

Extended Care

Extended Care is a safe, well-supervised independent playtime for our Youth Campers; it is not an extension of our day’s curriculum. Extended care takes place in the Courtyard under the air-circulated tent. Payment for Extended Care must be paid by 6:00pm the day prior to reserve your spot. Payments are made online through the Box Office. Daily rate for Extended Care is non-transferable.

  • Extended Care - $15 per day
  • Includes Pre-Care (7:45-9:00am) & After Care (3:45-6:00pm)

More Information

  • All Campers are signed in and out with the NSB Security Staff. For safety, the only place children can be released is at the security desk and parents/guardians may not go directly to the classroom. Parents/guardians should have a Picture ID with them as the Sign Out Authorization will be checked until visual identification can be established.
  • Any camper who arrives at camp 15 minutes prior to the start of their group time or stays longer than 15 minutes after the end of their group's camp day will be placed in the Extended Care system and is charged for that day’s rate. Please Note: Siblings attending camp can arrive and dismiss at the same time per family’s needs at no additional cost.
  • Extended Care pick-up must be NO EARLIER than 4:15pm. Families that need to pick up prior must call the NSB OFFICE to have the child released thru the Drive Thru pick up.
  • After regular camp hours, the NSB Office phone will be transferred directly to the Security Staff member on duty.
  • Our program closes at 6:00pm – if your child is not picked up by 6:10pm there will be additional fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes thereafter.    

Activities Department

Next Stop Broadway offers our campers a plethora of opportunities to perform and allow their talents to shine! Campers rotate daily to the Activities Department where they participate in multiple group competitions, talent shows, and other fun and exciting activities separate from each Session's production. 

Spirit Rallies

A weekly Friday event occuring every non-show week at 2pm in the Theater.  An all out camp pep rally featuring performances for campers by campers. Every year features brand new, exciting themes that are sure to make everyone feel like the superstar they truly are. Group winners of each rally will receive an exclusive VIP party just for them! Please note - families are not to attend the live Spirit Rally shows. Performances will be recorded and included in the session's Digital Show File.

Dress Up Days

If it’s a Wednesday, then it must be dress up day! This summer we present a fresh new batch of dress up day themes that are sure to entertain and unite the camp. All themes can be accessible through you and your family’s closets! Two winners from each group will be chosen and featured in the Dress Up Day music video, in addition to receiving a special certificate. The wackier & more imaginative, the better!

Talent Extravaganza

During the last week of each session, we will showcase the very best talent our campers have to offer in the Talent Extravaganza Showcase. Campers will compete in an array of competitions throughout the session, and the winners will get to perform their pieces as an opening act for the Friday evening performance. Some of the competitions are as follows:

  • Next Stop Broadway Idol – Like the popular TV show, this singing competition will start with an audition process open to all campers. You can audition as a solo act, a duo, or as a group. Throughout the session, the competition is narrowed down to one act representing each group, who will compete in the NSB Talent Extravaganza finale show.
  • Next Stop Broadway’s Got Talent – Musicians, magicians, dancers, and more! Each spirit rally and NSB Talent Extravaganza competition will feature performances completely created by you. Auditions will be held weekly during the Activities rotation.
  • Next Stop Broadway Film Festival/Tik Toks – Campers can submit 2-minute or less videos or TikTok's to be featured in our Spirt Rallies and Extravaganza. 

Teen Theatre Project (Grades 9+)

The Teen Theatre Project is the complete, pre-professional experience for aspiring performers. Set in a safe & encouraging environment where EVERYONE participates in the creation of the fully designed production.

Participants will submit a virtual self-tape audition prior to the start of the Teen Project so that show preparations can begin on day one. Students are cast in lead, supporting, or ensemble roles. Led by our all-star staff, the Teen Project is the perfect vehicle for young performers to advance their skills, build confidence, and perform on stage! 

  • Teen Project limited to approx. 50 campers
  • Weeks 1-4: Monday-Thursday 2:00pm-6:00pm
  • Week 5/Tech Week: Monday-Friday Times TBA
  • Show Dates: Thursday, August 1 at 11am, Friday, August 2 at 2pm & 7pm

Teen Theatre Project • Mary Poppins • July 1-August 2

When a mysterious young woman named Mary Poppins appears at their doorstep, the Banks family finds that she's the answer to their prayers, but in the most peculiar way. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones she has a profound effect upon. 

Mary Poppins is an enchanting mixture of irresistible story, unforgettable songs, breathtaking dance numbers and astonishing stage moments.

Teen Tech Project (Grades 9+)

Are you entering the 9th grade or above with a passion for the technical aspects of the performing arts? NSB's brand new Teen Tech Project allows participants to spend their mornings immersed in the world of technical theatre.

  • Grades: 9+
  • Dates: July 1-August 2
  • Weeks 1-4: Monday-Thursday | Week 5: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 9am-2pm
  • Tuition: $500 / $99 down to reserve your spot* / Balance due by June 21

Teen Tech Project • July 1-August 2

Teen_Tech_Project_Logo.pngParticipants will engage in hands-on activities including working with props and costumes, attending lighting and sound workshops, exploring puppeteering for our Youth Camp production, mastering set painting and production techniques, and pursuing independent study opportunities.

This program caters to enthusiasts of technical theater AND offers an early start to the camp day, making it an ideal choice for those enrolled in Mary Poppins.

Participants will break for lunch from 1:00pm-2:00pm

For added convenience, our Lunch Program and Extended Care (AM only) are also available to Teen Tech Project students per families need. 

Field Trips

We offer incredible, Broadway-style productions in our state of the art facility by our talented young performers! Productions run approx 1 hr 30 min - 2 hrs. For more information, call the Next Stop Broadway Office at 954-344-5991.
